Atmospheric impact of sea ice decline
Dr. Elders is an Associate Scientist with USRA and joined the organization in 2019. Her work with USRA’s Goddard Earth Science Technology and Research (GESTAR) includes examining ways to integrate high-resolution satellite data into machine learning algorithms to monitor and evaluate smallholder fields in Western Africa. Prior to joining USRA, Dr. Elders was a research assistant and doctoral candidate at George Mason University in the Climate Dynamics program. Her focus was the atmospheric impact of sea ice decline specifically, on mid-latitude weather and climate.
