Research Interests

Understanding the relationship between cloud and precipitation in large scale.
Evaluating cloud/precipitation simulating performance of global circulation model.


Dr. Daeho Jin is a scientist who has been working with Dr. Lazaros Oreopolous at the Climate and Radiation Laboratory (Code 613) at NASA/GSFC since September 2013. He received his B.Sc. in the Department of Atmospheric Science, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea in February 2003, and received his Ph.D. in the Department of Climate Dynamics, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA in May 2008. He has examined climate variability including ENSO, MJO, Monsoon, etc., as well as the effect of air-sea coupling on climate system. He also has been involved in Marine Bio-Physical Interaction associated with MJO. His current research is focused on the cloud-precipitation relationships in both observation and model simulation.
