Cancelling an existing CAD


Note: Termination of a CAD requires a 90-day official notification to the COR of the Task End Date!

Step 1: To cancel an existing Cooperative Agreement Directive (CAD) - formerly called 'Task Order' -, please modify your existing form or create an updated "Internal Worksheet for GESTAR Directives (USRA) - NNG11HP16A Form" located here and submit it to the COR,

Step 2: The COR makes note of the end date requested and forwards the Worksheet to the Grants Officer.

Step 3: The Grants Officer submits a request for a revised proposal and the worksheet to USRA. Within 7 working days, USRA will respond via email with a revised budget.

Step 4: Within 5 working days of this emailed response, you then need to complete a "Recipient Cooperative Agreement Directive (CAD) Cost Plan (RCADCP) Technical Evaluation with USRA Form" located here. Your individual organization's Resources Analyst should coordinate approval of accounting and appropriation data for your research effort with the Cooperative Agreement's Lead Resources Analyst, Ms. Natasha Saunders, Code 603, Once the document is complete, please forward it to the COR and the Contracts Specialist,

Step 5: The Grants Officer verifies costs and determines if the price is fair and reasonable, and issues the revised CAD to USRA.
