On October 27, 2020, the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) presented a virtual panel-style lecture titled "When is a Bird or Shark a Climate Scientist? Talking Climate Change with Conservation and Earth Scientists." Bridget Seegers (616/USRA) along with other scientists from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, scientists from the Smithsonian's Movement of Life Initiative, and NASA Astronaut Jessica Meir (presenter) contributed to this hour-long discussion, which is available online.
This series on climate change is part of the Smithsonian Conservation Commons' Earth Optimism initiative, and the panelists were all interviewed for Earth Optimism videos, accessible at the above link. Dr. Carlos del Castillo (616/GSFC) discusses with Dr. Seegers her study of phytoplankton and harmful algae blooms, as well as her career path, in the Earth Optimism video "Climate Change and Our Future: Diving Into Our Oceans."
